Announcement To Everyone: Read Romans 13+the end of Romans 12. Its good stuff, in relation to dealing with the government.
To me there is only one obvious answer to one who would ask the question, what is the emblem of our generation, and this is the fence. In the dictionary, one may find that the definition of a fence is a structure serving as a barrier. In today’s society, everywhere we look we see more and more fences going up. As some may see it, this conjecture is a faulty assessment based on the fact that fences are a limited dimension of steel, wood, and wire. However, this is not the case. We see fences today in a plethora of different forms. For example, nearly everyone uses the internet now and unfortunately hackers and viruses are invading our personal computers and even threatening their very existence. What has been the answer to this terrifying problem? My elucidation is fences, in the forms of anti-virus software and firewalls. Furthermore, fences can also be found protecting our homes in the form of bolt locks and protective security systems. However, all this being said, the fence, as a stand alone icon, is not what makes it the emblem of our generation. In actuality, it is the reason we need fences. In fact, the reason we need fences makes the fence a much bigger icon then any trivial object with which society’s collective being lusts after. In the grander picture of life, fences serve to expose the sin in our world and how it thrives in our generation. They uncover the wicked, whose mal-intentions are to expose our weaknesses in pursuit of their own personal gain. The fence’s very being is to show us all man’s sinful nature, because without sin, there would be no need for a fence.
